Varanasi again. Because when it comes to Tissue Banarasi, there's really only one city that does it right.
This one came out in a warm olive-gold the kind of colour that doesn't shout but doesn't need to.
Lucknow's Zardozi artisans worked on it, then Kashmir's Aari work was added. Aari is a 12th century
craft  a hooked needle pulled through fabric, stitch by stitch, creating floral patterns so fine they look
painted. Then Moti, scattered by hand across the body.
