Varanasi has been weaving since before most cities existed. This Tissue Banarasi came from there, silk threads interlocked with gold zari, the same technique Mughal nobility commissioned for their court garments in the 14th century.
Then Lucknow's Zardozi artisans got their hands on it. Knot work followed each knot tied individually,
by hand, no shortcuts. Then Kaddana, tiny metallic details added one at a time.
The result is a champagne gold saree that catches light differently depending on where you're standing.
Which is probably the most expensive party trick you'll ever own.

Bust Around the fullest part of your chest, tape parallel to the ground. Don't pull too tight.

Waist Around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.

Hip Around the fullest part of your hips, usually about 8 inches below your natural waist.

Shoulder From the edge of one shoulder to the other, straight across your upper back.

Between two sizes? Size up — a blouse that's slightly larger is always easier to adjust than one that's too small.

A Tissue Banarasi like this needs at least three artisans working together for 20 to 40 days just to finish the weave. after that it travels to Lucknow where Zardozi artisans spend another 10 days at minimum. Kaddana and knot work are added last. a saree that looks this simple took months to make.

Every piece is handcrafted. color, texture, and embroidery may vary slightly & that's what makes it limited.
