The Aari work alone tells the story. A Kashmir karigar finishes just 2 to 4 cm of work per hour using a hooked needle, the same technique used since the 12th century. For a saree with this much Aari coverage, that is easily 50 to 100 hours of work alone. On top of a Tissue Banarasi weave that takes 20 to 40 days in Varanasi. The handmade Butta motifs are crafted separately and added by hand, one at a time.
Every piece is handcrafted. color, texture, and embroidery may vary slightly & that's what makes it limited.
